Architecture

This internship will include job shadowing during which the student gets paired with a rotation of architect(s) and/or graduate architect(s) throughout the week, introducing them to a variety of project types and tasks that would be encountered in the profession.

Architecture

Join our small architecture studio as a high school intern! This hands-on opportunity involves working 4-6 hours per day, where you’ll gain valuable experience in the architecture field. Your tasks will include attending team meetings, perhaps helping create content for our social media channels, conducting product and material research, and assisting with organizing material samples. You’ll have the chance to learn about the design process, explore innovative materials, and understand the myriad components to running a small design firm. While the internship will be mostly remote, we will meet in person at the beginning and end of the week to discuss the intern’s interest and tailor the opportunity as much as possible, and respond to the ever-changing demands of a boutique architecture firm.

Business / Finance

IEQ Capital is offering a 4-week, part-time summer internship for high school students interested in finance, business, and investing. Interns will gain hands-on experience through job shadowing, market research, and exposure to investment strategies, while also observing professionals in action. This opportunity is ideal for motivated students who are eager to learn, take initiative, and develop critical thinking skills in a professional setting. It’s a great way to explore the financial industry and gain experience for future academic and career pursuits.

Finance / Research with a focus on retailers of apparel and sporting goods

Internship will give the intern the opportunity to conduct consumer goods research, retail store visits, price surveys, basic financial modeling, and complete powerpoint presentations.

Investment Management/Real Estate

The intern will have an opportunity to shadow the management team which includes rotations in acquisitions, operations, capital improvements and asset management groups. The intern will have an opportunity to visit properties in the portfolio. During these site visits, the intern will complete a rent analysis of one property and their competitive set of properties in the area. The intern will come away with a basic understanding of value-add investing.

Finance / Real Estate

Role #1 - Marketing and Leasing internship – focused on learning and supporting a key residential property leasing executive in renting out apartments in San Francisco. Role #2 – Real Estate Finance internship – focused on learning and supporting a key finance executive in Finance, Planning and Analysis for real estate operations.

Early Education

This internship is a great fit for students who are interested in exploring careers in early education, physical therapy, fitness, child psychology, music and or arts education. Students will gain hands-on experience working with children in their preferred interest area. As a small business founder and leader, students will also learn from Ella about what it takes to start and manage a successful small business. The internship will involve a mix of job shadowing and working with children (ie reading, arts projects, music, light sports activity). Students will be invited to complete a small project where they will get to design and deliver a lesson for the children around their interest area of choice.

Apparel

We have two internship opportunities available. Market research: Define and help execute a market research plan to learn more about what our desired customer base is looking for, pain points, and gaps our products can fill. This may include both online and in-person research and focus groups. Digital content creation: Define and create digital content that helps showcase our brand’s personality and core product features, for use on social channels such as Instagram and LinkedIn. Strategy is equally as important as creative production.

Retail / ecommerce

Detail oriented, data driven supporting internship to Ingrid & Isabel’s Senior Director of Planning. The Ecom/Planning Intern will be responsible for preparing and distributing key reports and data analysis recaps that are important to the business while working with cross functional teams to create strategies for long term growth. Strong Candidates are individuals that have interest in retail merchandising or Ecommerce. We will cover retail math and inventory planning concepts in this role and learn how to objectively interpret data and extract actionable insights that drive the business. As an intern with Remoda, you will support the team in managing luxury resale collections, including cataloging, pricing, and marketing high-end fashion pieces. You will also assist in creating engaging content for social media, developing strategies to enhance customer engagement, and researching trends in sustainable and luxury fashion. In this internship, you will be working directly with Mani Aliabadi, Legal Director of Youtube Product Partnerships, Advertising and Rights Management. This is an opportunity best suited for students who are interested in exploring a career in law and the intersection between media, entertainment and technology. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow Mr Aliabadi, review contracts and agreements and complete a short project. There will also be an opportunity to visit Youtube campus and meet select members of the Legal team. While this internship is not part of Youtube’s official internship program, you will be able to cite working with Mr Aliabadi on Youtube projects on your resume.

The intern will contribute to and assist with episode releases, operations, research, and assist in implementing the marketing and communications plan. This Internship provides exposure to the field of medical aesthetics, focusing on clinical and business aspects. Observe Dr. Kong during consultations and treatments to develop a basic understanding of facial anatomy and how aesthetic procedures work. Learn the importance of HIPAA regulations and patient consent protocols in the medical field. Understand the role of clinical knowledge, branding, advertising, social media, customer service in the medical aesthetic industry, where treatments are often considered discretionary investments.

First and foremost, this internship experience with our pediatric medical office can be tailored to the student’s interests. The intern will have the opportunity to take vital sign measurements, do vision and hearing screenings, as well as run point of care testing (urinalysis dipstick testing, glucometer, and Abbott ID Now molecular testing for streptococcus, influenza, and RSV) while interacting with babies and children. The intern will also learn about disease processes and management, preventive medicine, antibiotic stewardship, and child development. Time will be set aside with our clinic manager, front desk staff, and our eligibility/billing specialist to learn about the business side of running a busy medical clinic. SF BAY PEDIATRICS Continued… MEDICINE Finally the intern has the option to set up and evaluate a quality improvement project, though the latter may lengthen the internship duration to 2 weeks.

Medicine / Oncology / Women’s Health

Job shadowing, observing in the breast health center. Attendance at multidisciplinary tumor board. A typical day might include giving patient news of the need for biopsy - including discussing their level of suspicion for the results to result in a cancer diagnosis, scheduling the procedure, patient education, calling patients with their biopsy results (benign, high-risk and malignant), referring patients to oncology and support services. Note - Students will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Medicine, Biomedical Research

Dr Abraham will work to tailor the internship(s) to the interests and motivation of the student – which could include a mix of shadowing and research. Interns will first read up and make a presentation on the disease which Dr Abraham focuses on: Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Students can ask questions while they research the disease Interns can come to clinic and help patients fill out a Clinical research questionnaire, shadow our clinical research coordinators to see how clinical research is done If an intern is available for 4 weeks, and they are supermotivated, they could learn image analysis and help in the research lab with histology or image analysis

Technology / Software

Atlassian for Startups (Atlassian.com/startups) is a program designed to identify and nurture startups and early-stage companies with big potential. Join the team for one week of job-shadowing to learn more about how the team: Markets the program to founders, investors, incubators and accelerators; Reviews each/every application for the program; Activates approved customers via a combination of internal- and external-facing workflows. You will also get exposure to cross-functional meetings, in-flight projects and general day-to-day activities in the Atlassian San Francisco office.

Education, Temporary Staffing

Student’s goal is to create an iPhone app that CCC temps can use to submit their work hours for payroll. Student must have experience with the Swift and/or C programming languages. Prior experience writing iPhone apps is strongly favored, but not essential as long the student has some experience programming in C and is a quick learner. Student will need to work closely with the CEO for the back-end integration with the company’s Microsoft SQL Server database and the coding of the business logic.

Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC)

The internship will be tailored based on the applicant’s skill set. Programming skills such as Python and VBA are a plus. In the past interns have assisted with the development of databases for Embodied Carbon tracking and implementation of new concrete technology for use in PowerBI and/or Excel. Interns will attend site visits at construction sites. Additional tasks can include use of the drafting software Revit to assist in drawing production.

Advertising technology

CEO shadow and Chief-of-Staff duties. You will have an opportunity to join the CEO in various meetings, both internal and external. You will help plan the meeting and presentations, take notes, and summarize action items. Research We are compiling possible areas of research that will help the company with future planning. Examples include industry and competitive research, building an overview of certain media landscapes (e.g. influencer marketing, mobile ad marketing, etc), and others TBD. Sales Operations You will have an opportunity to work directly with our sales and business development team. We would look to create a short summer program where high-school students could learn about engineering, manufacturing and the business aspects of running a technology company. The internship would include completion of a project, to take place over the course of the program, presentation to senior management and job shadowing with different aspects of senior management.
