About the organization

PAX Design Group is a consulting firm working in strategy related to design, healthcare, financing, and media. We are a relatively young company with a small team, and Yellow Eyed Cats is our first podcast. About the podcast: “You can’t fix the world unless you fix yourself” – Professor Bernie Roth, Stanford University Recognizing barriers in our lives and solving them with wisdom is a muscle - a muscle we can all strengthen with greater self-awareness. And a few tricks. In this podcast, Stanford faculty Bernie Roth, host and former student Krista Donaldson, and guests discuss the insights and tools from Bernie’s legendary class ‘Designer in Society’ and his resulting NYT best-seller The Achievement Habit. Yellow-Eyed Cat draws from the design mindset and creative problem-solving to help us all realize our power to finally do the things we’ve always wanted to do. We hope our listeners want to be challenged, have a laugh, and think about the world differently. PAX DESIGN GROUP Continued… MEDIA Bernie started teaching at Stanford in the 1960s. He’s 91 this year and just retired. His wisdom, stories, and history will have a profound impact on others and future generations. In this podcast he (with us) will “teach” his approaches, with stories and exercises. Part of the magic of learning from Bernie is Bernie: his quirkiness, his stories about growing in the Bronx, his asides, and his good nature. Bernie also challenges us with unusual directness to think about our perceptions, the world, and our values. The intimacy of audio allows us the listener to be part of the discussion with Bernie. There are 10-12 episodes (we are doing the last few now) that are 30-45 min, and each is centered on a Bernie lesson or ‘Bernism’, e.g. ‘Reasons are Bull—’.
