About the organization
A top pediatric office in San Francisco and Mill Valley, affiliated with Sutter Health and UCSF Health. Dr. Meier trained at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford and has been in private pediatric practice since 2004.
Internship description
Tailored to the intern's interests. Take vital signs, do vision and hearing screenings, run point-of-care testing (urinalysis, glucometer, Abbott ID Now for strep/influenza/RSV) while interacting with babies and children. Learn about disease processes, preventive medicine, antibiotic stewardship, and child development. Time with the clinic manager and billing specialist to learn the business of running a medical clinic.
Additional details
If interested in seeing hospital rounds at CPMC VNG, the intern must complete the Sutter screening for volunteers, including TB screening and immunization review.
